The birthplace of American space exploration and the hub of Florida’s space industry, Brevard County boasts generations of high-tech talent along with the largest share of STEM-related jobs in Florida. Brevard County’s 84 public schools consistently rank among the best in the state of Florida. 25 were deemed state Schools of Excellence, and six of Florida’s National Blue-Ribbon Schools are here on the Space Coast. Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRA)

A community redevelopment agency is a special funding district created for the special purpose of promoting and facilitating the redevelopment of blighted areas. There are 15 CRA’s on the Space Coast spread across various municipalities. Some cities have more than one. CRA funds can be used for many things including property acquisition, construction, and infrastructure. To determine if a certain property is within a CRA district, contact the city hall where the property is located.

The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast (EDC) serves as the single point of contact to help your company understand and access all the financial benefits of a Florida location, including Florida state and local incentives. The EDC works closely with economic development partners at the State of Florida (Enterprise Florida), Space Florida and the various local jurisdictions in the Space Coast region.
